MEET THE CRAFTMAKERS
The members of the Society of Arts and Crafts of NSW design and make unique Australian craft objects from contemporary to traditional. Select a craft from the list to read a little about our craftmakers, or browse our site map for the topic of your choice.
They work with media such as silver jewellery, glass art, ceramics, art to wear, basketry and timber, or the fibre arts of weavers, spinners, knitters, nuno felters and textile designers.
They also manage our gallery, Craft NSW, so the friendly helpful staff you meet are also the members who designed and made the craft we market.
WHERE YOU'LL FIND OUR GALLERY
For the handcraft enthusiast you will find us at 104 George Street, The Rocks, just a short walk from Circular Quay and Wynyard, close to the corner of Playfair Street (where the Visitors Centre is located). Public parking and bus stops are close by.
Our gallery, Craft NSW is quite different from other handcraft galleries. Situated in the historic Coroner's Court heritage listed site (built in 1906) a visit with us is a must.
So if shopping for yourself or for a special gift, we can offer you a very special gallery with a wide range of quality Australian handcraft, all made by our talented and skilled members.
