Wooden marquetry box handmade by Jo Ann Hopkins

Wooden marquetry box for jewellery or documents or treasures handmade by Jo Ann Hopkins. This design on this box was taken from a water-colour painting I did of a branch of gum leaves.  Some drawings or paintings seem to come easily as did this one.  I found the branch while on a walk, drew them that afternoon and painted them over the next week.  The wood of the box is oak salvaged from a winery.  The marquetry leaves are made from an assortment of timber veneers.  The green background is a pressure-dyed veneer.

Dimensions: 265 x 137 x 60 mm.

Care:  Polish with a good quality furniture polish and buff with a soft cloth.  Keep to of direct sunlight.
