How to get here
1. From George Street, The Rocks.
Argyle Street leads to Argyle Place. Argyle Street can be located at the corner of the Orient Hotel and the Police Station on George Street.
Walk through the tunnel, The Argyle Cut. This now becomes Argyle Place. You will see the historic Garrison Church on the right. Continue west walking along Argyle Place until you see The Lord Nelson hotel, Sydney’s oldest pub. Continue for a few more steps and there we are.
2. By Ferries or Trains.
From, Circular Quay, walk along the western side of the waterfront past the MCA, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and turn left onto George Street.
Follow the directions as above.
3. By bus and train from Town Hall.
The 311 bus has its first city bus stop, Stand J on Park Street and George Street in front of Woolworths. It is easy access from Town Hall Station. There are other bus stops along Kent Street, one of which is easy access from Wynyard Station. Ask station attendants for directions to Kent Street. After Kent Street the bus travels along Hickson Road. Stay on the bus to its very last stop at Millers Point. Walk westwards to the Lord Nelson Hotel and in a few steps more you will find our gallery.
To return by bus to the city, the 311 bus stop is on the southern side of Argyle Place. There is a bus shelter with seats and the Abraham Mott Community Centre behind the shelter.
Millers Point is easy walking distance to George Street The Rocks, Barangaroo waterfront park, The Observatory and cafe, The H S Erwin Art Gallery right on the top of Millers Point. Then more cafes down the Kent Street steps to the Finger Wharves and the Rosalyn Packer Theatre along Hickson Road. There will be buses, 324 and 325, along Hickson Road in this area that will take you back to the city centre.
