Hand dyed Viscose/Silk Shawl by Yaja Hadrys

Hand dyed Viscose/Silk Shawl by Yaja Hadrys. Light weight and soft, it can be worn as a wrap, big scarf or as a top in summer. This originally white shawl was dyed in logwood (natural dye) and then printed with plants gathered around Sydney. Eucalyptus, grevillea and other leaves were arranged and wrapped in the cloth and steamed for 3 hours. Washed and then over-dyed in indigo. The end result of my magic collaboration with Mother Nature is pure alchemy, always unpredictable and impossible to reproduce. That's why each piece is totally unique!

 Size: 70cm X 200 cm

Weight: 100 g
