This sculpture is from a series exploring fire – and how it is mesmerizing and powerful. The wood is salvaged firewood – the river redgum burl delicate colour and grain variation representing flames in a campfire - red brown in colour. The flames sit on a base of sandstone from the Adelaide Hills in South Australia with an aluminium rod. The piece provides a subtle yet interesting decoration suited to many locations around a home or office.
Dimensions: 36 cm tall with base
Care Instructions: The sculpture is very easy care, with the wood appreciating being stroked and wiped with natural furniture oil every year or so.
