I tend to work in contemporary abstraction employing texture,  colour and design to convey significant impressions to the audience rather than recognisable objects. 

I generally employ wool as a base in my practice,  hand dyeing and wet felting.   The addition of other fabrics,  mixed media and free machine embroidery creates differences in texture and opacity in the work.  The material transformation process that occurs during felting, leaving the maker's mark, is an aspect I savour and instantly want to repeat.
