Korean Bojagi
The fabric used is wrapping cloth linen which is very crisp and when folded makes accurate edges.
A white awl and ruler is used to mark a line on the wrong side of fabric as the fold line for a hem. Two pieces of fabric are marked this way then folded along the marked line.
The wrong sides of fabric are placed together and pinned. The crisp edges are then oversewn with small stitches.
Open the seam on the wrong side, press the seam open with the flat side of awl. Then mark a line on both folds using the ruler and the awl. Still on the wrong side, turn a small hem under and hemstitch it down very neatly.
The knot is made by winding thread around the needle 5 times and pulling the needle through the wraps.
