"My handweaving is in natural fibres, mainly in silk as I love the texture and the sheen. I dye my own yarns so that I can achieve the colour I want and often work with variegated shades which add to the interest in the way the light hits the finished woven product. Silk is such a versatile yarn – warm in winter and cool in summer and always soft and gentle on the skin. I also enjoy working with fine wool and alpaca again in hand dyed colours and patterns which provide texture and maximise the use of the dyed yarns". Vicki
