CraftNSW has interpreted RESPONSE as 'Interactive', where our members and invited guests will be displaying their works in textiles, fine silver, wood, glass, clay and more. Members interact with the environment, explore and adapt techniques, respond and play with colour and design. Hearts, hands and imagination determine the works.
Vistors will be encouraged to RESPOND by attending free hand-on workshops in various textile techniques with a tutor. The craft experience will include wrapping large and small god's eyes with colour, weaving hoops with coloured fabric as wall-hangings, learning Japanese braiding and arm knitting. Materials and equipment are all provided for a stimulating class. The workshops will be held throughout the exhibition.
