Wallhanging "Outback Moonrise" hand painted on silk by Jane Hinde

Outback Moonrise - Inspired by images of the Simpson Desert, Australia.

Painted on Crepe Satin using silk dyes that have been steam fixed to make fast to washing and light. Black and clear gutta (wax resist) is then drawn on and painted using various watercolour techniques.

Hemmed and hanging from inserted wooden dowels.

Light and easy to roll up into a post tube.

Size:  53 x 105 cm

Care: Remove silk from the dowel rods and hand wash in warm water.                           Iron from the reverse side whilst damp. May be dry cleaned if no coloured gutta has been used. Check individual piece instructions regarding gutta.
