Handwoven wall hanging by Liz Calnan in natural and hand dyed brown silk was designed using weaving software and woven on a 24 shaft compudobby loom . The weave structure is turned taquete, also called jin, which allows larger pattern motifs.
The three photos show the upper, whole and the lower part of the hanging. Is is 205cm long plus fringe, and 74cm wide. Ideal for a stair well or a focus point in a larger room.
Its called "Tribal" as the indents along the edge of the motifs reminded me of the serrated edge on spears.
Wash as for silk: Remove the aluminium hanging bar, then cool hand wash, rinse, rinse in fabric conditioner and steam press when dry. The surface can be vacuumed
