"My oil crayon collages are inspired by drawings made while walking and cycling in Australia and overseas.
I complete the works in my studio using oil crayon on coloured papers which are torn, collaged and pasted on art panels then sealed with varnish. The thick dense crayons play with the torn edges of the coloured papers.
My handmade books have original covers made with left overs from my collages or with prints. They are hand sewn in cross bound format to open flat with 120gsm cartridge papers." Jan
